Hazy Days
The months of June and July are well-known to be very hot and sometimes, hazy. It’s difficult to stay cool, calm and collected especially when the weather is scorching and there’s haze in the air. Haze contains fine particles of dust and smoke which can irritate our eyes, throat and lungs if exposed to it for prolonged periods.
Even if the weather isn’t great, there’s no reason to dress to reflect the weather. Here’re some tips to stave off the heat and pollution while remaining stylish.
- Wear bright colours to counteract the grey smoke that’s blocking out the sun. Colours such as fuchsia, yellow and bright blue will be a sight for sore eyes (literally).
- If you don’t own a bright piece of clothing, incorporate some eye-catching jewellery into your ensemble such as a brightly coloured bag, shoes, necklace or scarf!
- Clothing made from cotton and linen are great for hot weather because they are very breathable and cooling on the skin.
- Keep eye drops on hand to keep your peepers clear of dust and other irritants. Big, sparkly eyes at a meeting will do you more good than red, irritated ones.
- Grab the N95 mask from the nearest pharmacy to filter out the nasty particles in haze that may harm your breathing structures.
